On Friday Oct 3rd, Mrs. Carlson and the Healthy Living Ambassadors traveled to Ames for a day of training and exploring Iowa State University. The team is made up of students in 6-8th grade and they learn skills to come back and teach classmates on the principles of 5-2-1-0. They enjoyed a scavenger hunt at Reiman Gardens, lunch at Iowa State dining hall, and touring and sampling ice cream from the on campus creamery. This group is excited to improve overall wellness of students in Montezuma!

#TheMonteWay proposed project was shared at Lake Ponderosa and we appreciate The Record including some of the details from our discussion. You can learn more on our website under #TheMonteWay, contact us with your questions, or schedule a tour. We are happy to share the information!

Mrs. Dye’s 2nd grade class has been busy getting in the Halloween season!
They recently read the story “Pumpkin Jack” and learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin! They were then able to do an experiment with their own pumpkin Jack by making him into a Jack-O-Lantern and get to watch his life cycle begin! They are eager to keep a close eye on him and will give us results of their experiment later this school year! 🎃👻💜
