SICL Art Show

Congratulations to the SICL Art Show participants: 


Division 1: In Drawing, Alea Bru received a 3rd.  In Sculpture, Hayley Burnett received a 1st, and Shiressa Wetering received a 2nd. Lydia received the People's Choice Award in painting and the Teacher’s Choice Award with her blue bird painting. 

Shiressa Wetering received a Best In Show Award in Drawing. In painting, Lydia received a 1st. In computer graphics, Rey Hibbard received a 1st place. Alea Bru received a Teacher’s Choice Award in Printmaking.  Division 2: In Drawing, Lydia Singleton received a 1st and 2nd.

SICL Boys Golf

Congratulations to the Montezuma Braves Boys Golf Team on winning SICL Conference Golf for the second year in a row with a team score of 326! Sigourney was 2nd with a 342 and Keota 3rd with a 350. Maguire DeJong was 5th with a 78, Cruz DeJong was 6th with a 78, and Jack Erselius was 7th with a 79. Good luck as you move onto the postseason!!!

The Montezuma FFA had an extremely successful trip to State Convention! Please see the results below:

Ag CSI: 2nd place
Ag Impact: 1st place
Conduct of Meetings: 1st place
Ag Communications: 2nd place
Farm Business Management: 1st place
Marketing Plan: 4th place
Job Interview: 2nd place
Ag Broadcasting: 3rd place
Sales: 1st place
Proficiency Award Winners: Maguire DeJong (1st) and Mia Boulton (2nd)

Congratulations to each of these individuals and groups.  Many hours are hard work went into the preparation for State and it paid off!  Way to represent! Good luck to those headed to Nationals next fall!   #theMonteway

Speech and Drama at State Speech- Results

Every one of our Monte speech students received at least one Division one rating from a judge at State Individual Speech! We are extremely proud to see their hard work pay off. This entire group of students has been exceptional this year! We have seen huge growth this year in how our students are becoming a supportive team, invested in one another and not just themselves.
