Hello, I'm Mr. Dengler, the former High School Social Studies teacher at Montezuma. I currently am the School Improvement Leader. I work with teachers to help support them and improve teaching practices. On this page you will find a little bit about myself as well as some information about my classroom as I continue to update it. 

 

I graduated from North Tama High School (Traer) in 2007. I attended the University of Northern Iowa, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History Education. I also hold an Educational Technology Minor and an Endorsement in All-Iowa Social Studies. I am currently the former High School Social Studies. I have taught 6 years of history at Montezuma. My first two years I taught at the Junior High level. My last four years of teaching classes include Government, American History, World History, Modern History and American West. My favorite part about Montezuma is the pride the community takes in the school. The support is tremendous. I also coach at Montezuma. I am currently the head coach for Varsity Boys Basketball.

 

I have been married to my wife Hannah for 5 years and have one son. My son’s name is Hayes. He will turn 3 in September. He has lots of energy. 

 

Some of the activities I enjoy include spending time with my family and friends, helping my dad farm, playing golf, exercising and and basketball.
