Junior High Math Courses
  • 6th Grade: 6th Grade Math - 1 year
    • The topics covered in this course include, but are not limited to: using all operations with integers and rational numbers, Greatest Common Factor and Least Common Multiple, ratios and rates, percents (converting and applying to real life), Algebraic expressions and properties, coordinate planes, absolute value, Statistical measurements, surface area and volume.
  • 7th Grade: 7th Grade Math - 1 year
    • The topics covered in this course include, but are not limited to: using all operations with integers and rational numbers, writing and simplifying expressions, using associative, commutative and distributive properties, solving on-step equations, proportions, ratios and percents (increase and decrease as well as discounts and mark ups applying to real life), lines and angles, exponents, probability through Statistical analysis, and use of rational numbers.
  • 8th Grade: 8th Grade Math - 1 year
    • The topics covered in this course include, but are not limited to: use of all operations with positive and negative integers and rational numbers, negative exponents and scientific notation, multi-step equation, lines and angles, central tendency, similar figures, 3-D Geometry, transformations of functions, and graphing lines with linear functions.
High School Math Courses
Algebra 1 - 1 year -  2 credits - 8th, 9th, 10th & 11th
  • The topics covered in this course include, but are not limited to: properties of real numbers, Matrices (addition, subtraction and scalar multiplication), linear equations (solving, writing, and graphing), functions, inequalities (solving and graphing), systems of linear equations (by graphing, substitution and linear combinations), radicals, exponent rules, polynomials (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and factoring with a lead coefficient of 1), ratios and proportions, and direct and inverse variation.
    • Prerequisite: Math 8
Geometry 1 - 1 year - 2 credits - 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th
  • The topics covered in this course include, but are not limited to: segments and angles, perimeter, area, circumference, perpendicular and parallel lines, congruent triangles, triangle properties, quadrilaterals, motion in a plane, similarity, right triangles, families of functions and trigonometry, surface area and volume.
    • Prerequisite: Algebra 1
Algebra 2 - 1 year -  2 credits - 11th & 12th
  • The topics covered in this course include, but are not limited to: linear equations, inequalities, graphs, matrices, polynomials and radical expressions, quadratic equations, functions, exponential and logarithmic expressions, sequences and series, probability and trigonometry.
    • Prerequisite: Geometry
Math Foundations 1 - 1 year - 2 credits - 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th
  • The topics covered in this course include, but are not limited to: number computation, dimensional analysis, simplifying expressions, simplifying radicals, solving proportions, solving equations, solving percent equations, order of operations including exponents, probability and odds.
Math Foundations 2 - 1 year - 2 credits - 10th, 11th & 12th
  • The course will cover real numbers, Algebra, Geometry, order of operations including exponents and radicals, and probability and Statistics.
    • Prerequisites: 1 prior year of math
Integrated Math - 1 year - 2 credits - 11th & 12th
  • The course will cover Gross Income, Net Income, record keeping, checking accounts, savings accounts, cash purchases, credit cards, loans, vehicles, housing costs, and insurance.
    • Prerequisite: 1 prior years of math
College Calc 1 - 1 Sem - 1 HS credit, 4 College Credits - 12th
  • This course is designed to provide you with a basic knowledge of calculus. Topics covered include the concepts of a limit, continuity, the derivative, and the integral as well as practical applications of these concepts. Topics will be approached from numerical, graphical, and analytical standpoints.
College Calc 2 - 1 Sem - 1 HS credit, 4 College Credits - 12th
  • The study of calculus is expanded in this course to include more advanced topics. Topics include techniques of integration, differential equations, analytic geometry, and infinite series. Function types include polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, trig, inverse trig and hyperbolic. The emphasis of the course will be on problem solving techniques and theory.
College Statistics - 1 Sem - 1 HS credit, 3 College Credits - 12th
  • This course provides a foundation of statistical concepts and procedures that can aid the student as both a consumer and producer of statistical information. The course emphasizes descriptive and inferential statistical methods, probability, estimation, hypothesis testing and linear regression. Students are introduced to technology as it applies to introductory statistical methods.
Math for Liberal Arts - 1 Sem - 1 HS credit, 3 College Credits - 12th
  • An exploration of critical thinking, problem-solving and decision making based on the study of various fields of mathematics, including logic, sets, counting, and selected topics such as financial math, modeling and history of mathematics. The emphasis is on understanding the usefulness of mathematics in everyday situations.
High School Non-Math Credit Elective
  • Integrated Technology - 1 Sem - 1 credit - 9th-12th
    • The topics covered in this course include various types of technology, including, but not limited to: electricity, robotics, computers, and Blockly coding.
  • Computer Science - 1 Sem - 1 credit - 10th-12th
    • Foundational concepts of computer science, including programming and coding, specifically Python programming.
      • Prerequisite: Earning a C or higher in Algebra 1 AND Integrated Tech
  • AP Computer Science - 1 Sem - 1 credit - 11th-12th
    • This course teaches Java programming and requires extensive knowledge of programming techniques that are taught in the one-semester Computer Science Course.
      • Prerequisite: Earning a C or higher in Computer Science
      • Students will be able to take the AP Computers Science A exam at the end of the year.
  • ACT Prep - 1 Sem - 1 credit - 11th (NOT CURRENTLY BEING OFFERED)
    • This course focuses on test preparation and test taking strategies as it pertains to the ACT.
