I graduated from Montezuma Community High School in 1992. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Computer Science and Mathematics Education from William Penn University in 1997. I returned to college in 2007 and earned my Master of Arts in Mathematics (Secondary Teaching Emphasis) from the University of Northern Iowa in 2010.
I have been married to my husband, Daryl, for 23 years. We have three daughters, Aliya, Mya, and Ava.
After graduating from William Penn University, I used my Computer Science degree and worked as a Programmer Analyst. In 2000, I left the programming world and started my teaching career at Montezuma. I currently teach students who take Algebra 2, HS Calculus, College Statistics, College Calculus I, College Calculus II, and Computer Science Principles.
Outside of School:
A few of my favorite activities outside of school are attending my daughters' activities, camping with my family and friends, and reading historical fiction novels.
