In it’s second year, the Montezuma DECA team is gearing up for district competition. Twenty-nine students will be competing at the district level which starts with a 100 question test the week of the 10th. The following week, students will travel to Simpson College on November 19th. While at Simpson, students will receive a case study and, as individuals or in partners, will come up with a solution to the proposed problem. Students are judged on how sound the business advice is along with specific performance indicators outlined in the contest packet.
The final scores are determined by combining the test score and the case study score. Once those are tabulated, awards will be announced. Montezuma will be competing against: ACGC, ADM, Bondurant-Farrar, Carlisle, CB Abraham Lincoln, CB Thomas Jefferson, DCG, Des Moines North, Mount Ayr, Newton, PCM, Saydel, SE Polk, Urbandale, and Valley.
