Concurrent enrollment courses, those that provide college credit as well as high school credit, allow students to get a jumpstart on their post secondary path. For some students, that includes getting hands-on experience with their future job.
Chloe Snook and Lily Ferry are taking Nurse Aide courses to get a glimpse at their future career in the nursing field. These students do work online as well as in person labs at Iowa Valley Community College in Grinnell, Iowa. This coursework, along with other concurrent enrollment courses taken, will transfer with them to their college of choice.
Concurrent enrollment courses are a great way for MHS students, like Chloe and Lily, to get a head start on their college/career pathways.
If interested in more information about concurrent courses, please contact Ms. Taylor.
