This year, a new initiative has started to encourage students to develop a service mindset, a skill that can last and benefit themselves and others for a lifetime. This began through a community request for volunteers for local events, but has now springboarded into creating opportunities for students to give back to a community that continues to support and give towards their development.
Beginning a student’s freshman year, they can begin to volunteer, earning hours to go towards a silver honor cord they wear at graduation. The only stipulations are that volunteer hours have to be unpaid, it cannot be a fundraiser effort for other groups/teams, and they cannot be a course requirement.
If a student is interested in this incredible opportunity, please reach out to Mr. Gartman.
