JH Band Courses

• 6th Grade Band - 1 year

  • Yearlong study of instrumental music with Tuesdays and Thursday block rehearsals that include lessons and Fridays for 40 minutes.

  • Required performances include 2 concerts per school year.

  • Honor bands and other musical opportunities are encouraged!

• Junior High Band - 1 year 

  • Yearlong study of instrumental music with Monday and Wednesday rehearsals-with alternating Fridays-and one pullout lesson per week. 

  • Required performances include 2 concerts per school year.

  • Honor bands and other musical opportunities are encouraged! 

HS Band Course

• High School Band - 1 year - 2 credits

  • Yearlong study of instrumental music with daily rehearsals and one pullout lesson per week. 

  • Required performances include:

    • 2 concerts per school year

    • Veterans' Day

    • Memorial Day

    • Pep band performances at home football/basketball games

    • Parades

    • Assemblies

    • Additional performances could be added-at the discretion of the director

  • Honor bands, Solo-Ensemble contest and variety show performances are encouraged!
