Junior High Health and Fitness Courses
6th Grade: 6th Health+Fitness
During this course, students will improve all five elements of fitness (start with types of fitness warm-up, participate in various physical activities, learn proper use of the weight room, and achieve fitness and athletic goals) and we will cover a variety of topics in health, including but not limited to: personal health (nutrition, mental health and coping, drugs/alcohol abuse prevention, disease prevention, and first aid) and societal health issues.
7th Grade: 7th Health+Fitness
During this course, students will improve all five elements of fitness (start with types of fitness warm-up, participate in various physical activities, learn proper use of the weight room, and achieve fitness and athletic goals) and we will cover a variety of topics in health, including but not limited to: personal health (nutrition, mental health and coping, drugs/alcohol abuse prevention, disease prevention, and first aid) and societal health issues.
8th Grade: 8th Health+Fitness

High School Health and Fitness Courses
HS Health - 1 Sem - 1 credit - 9th-12th
Topics covered may vary, but can include personal health (nutrition, mental health and coping, drug/alcohol abuse prevention, disease prevention, and first aid) and societal health issues.
HS PE - 1 Sem - 1 credit - 9th-12th
Improve all five elements of fitness: start with types of fitness warm-up, participate in various physical activities, learn proper use of the weight room, and achieve fitness and athletic goals.
Strength & Conditioning - 1 Sem - 1 credit - 9th-12th
Students will participate in the Monte power lifting program two-three times per week. Work on speed and quickness development two days per week. Specific athletic skill development will be implemented when time allows.

Early Bird PE - 1 Sem - 1 credit - 10th-12th
Improve all five elements of fitness: start with types of fitness warm-up, participate in various physical activities, learn proper use of the weight room, and achieve fitness and athletic goals.
Early Bird PE will be prior to the start of the school day.
