I am very excited and honored to serve as the Montezuma School District Superintendent. My wife, Jane and I have found the community to be very welcoming and we greatly appreciate the kind words and gestures we have received. It is clear from my conversations with school staff and community members that there is a great deal of support for our school district and a strong desire to continue to improve. My goal this year is to learn as much as possible about the district in an effort to make sound decisions that will help us improve in the future. I do not come to Montezuma with an agenda other than to help us find new and exciting opportunities for our students to learn. My goal this first year is to listen and learn from our community members and build upon the great tradition of our school district.

 

During my 28 years in education, I have served as a math teacher, assistant principal, principal, and now as superintendent. I have always been motivated by the fact that I can find better ways to reach young people in education and I challenge and support those around me to do the same. It is a passion of mine to find new opportunities for students to learn and experience the world around them. My goal is to collaboratively work with our staff and community to identify and create these new opportunities for our students.
