I began my journey in band in 4th grade on the alto saxophone...not to mention piano lessons from 1st grade through 10th grade. While at Iowa Central, I played in the pit orchestra for the musicals, Jesus Christ Superstar and South Pacific. At ISU, I played the bari sax in jazz band, the contra-alto clarinet in the Wind Ensemble, the soprano sax in my saxophone quartet group, and the alto sax in Symphonic Band. I enjoy being a church pianist in my hometown of Stratford, Iowa. I like to read, learn new things, cook, and spend time with my husband and three daughters in Montezuma, Iowa.
I am happy to be at Montezuma working with such talented and hardworking band students, a great staff and supportive administration, and a community that takes pride in the fine arts.
